On The Strip # 1 The Best must see is the Shark Reef located at the Mandalay Bay Casino. This is a first class exhibit filled with exotic Fish and Reptiles from around the world. There are thousands of creatures and of course an excellent collection of Sharks... Great for the entire Family! You can see it all in an hour but most people stay longer. Parental Warning... The Shark tour ends and the Gift Shop.... Your kids will keep you there for some time.... # 2 The Next Best is the Secret Garden at the Mirage Casino. It features two large Dolphin Pools and a Garden Area where there are Lions and Tigers. You know this is a nice exhibit for the money, A fair Price and you can stay as long as you wish.. You even can pay extra and swim with the Dolphins. # 3 The MGM Lions are free to see and located in the main Casino Area of the MGM Grand. This exhibit is FREE and features several lions daily. You can walk right up to them as the cage is all Glass. Off The Strip The Silverton Casino and Bass Pro-shops Located at the I 15 and Blue Diamond Rd.. this is a great FREE excursion. Start at the Bass Pro Shops and see their fresh water fish tanks stocked with fish found in Nevada. There are actually two tanks, two indoor ponds and 8 waterfalls. You will also see full sized stuffed American Game.. Lions to Giraffes.
The Silverton and Bass Pro are connected so as you make your way through the Bass Pro Shop you will enter the Silverton and be standing right in front of their 117,000 Gallon salt water Aquarium with over 4000 fish... and its FREE to see... Go nose to nose with the Fish...
SADLY we can not recommend the Las Vegas Zoo... For a Flashy town the zoo is a big disappointment.
